The sensors are wrapped all around the robot’s body like skin. Traditionally, robots get their configuration info from a complex system of cameras, which are unfeasible for actual soft robot applications. Truby, one of the researchers, said that “We’re sensorising soft robots to get feedback for control from sensors, not vision systems, using a very easy, rapid method for fabrication.” According to Matheson, Truby also said that the entire system is still inadequate, but it is a crucial foothold from which advances in soft robotic control can be made. Wora - Critical Reflection

Personal Critical Reflection for Effective Communications MEC1281- After 13 weeks of the course, I felt that I have managed to complete my goals of being able to speak confidently in front of a crowd that I am not familiar with as well as being able to write emails, letters and reports properly. In the beginning of the course, I had some trouble with speaking up in front of the class and often stutter a lot. However, I have improved over the 13 weeks and am now able to speak properly in front of my classmates. Without Professor Blackstone’s help by giving me the opportunities to practice speaking in front of my classmates during class (e.g., reading texts out loud during class), I would not have been able to improve. I have also brushed up on my writing and have improved a lot when it comes to writing a report and summary. Before the course, my report and essay writing are mediocre and are often filled with too much information. After going through the classes, I feel that my reports

Assignment 1: Formal Letter

Dear Professor Brad, My name is Woravuth Chong, a student from class T6 of effective communications, MEC 1281. I graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a diploma in mechatronics and robotics in 2018.  While studying at the polytechnic, I managed to gain a lot of interest in developing my skills as a mechatronics engineer. In the final year of my studies in the polytechnic, I had an internship module and the company that I had interned in made me realize how much I love to build and create mechanisms. During my time as an intern, I made a small automated guided vehicle which made me really satisfied with the end product. My experience during my polytechnic years made me want to further pursue my career in mechatronics engineering. I am currently enrolled in the Singapore Institute of Technology, as a student in mechanical engineering.  Being an introvert, I usually take a while before I am able to freely converse with my classmates. This weakness makes me unable to properly present
